The Musée de l'Armée, located in the heart of the Invalides in Paris, is offering a series of original activities to celebrate Sainte-Barbe, the patron saint of artillerymen and sappers. Through an exceptional exhibition and lively demonstrations, this initiative highlights the history and evolution of artillery equipment. Here's a look back at a rich and captivating program, taking place from December 2 to 8, 2024. The event will feature a number of iconic pieces of equipment, including : Cutting-edge technologies, such as the NEROD anti-drone system and military drones. [...] This equipment will be handled in interactive demonstrations, accompanied by technical commentaries to explain its characteristics and strategic role.
A real training engineering program has been set up to support the necessary “LADization” of land forces. Each player has his own system and training course. The first step in the “mille-feuille” of protection is the use of NEROD G1 and then G2 jammer rifles, aimed at both landed combatants and artillerymen in the LAD sections created in the ground-air batteries of artillery regiments. The CNEF then trains the 54th Artillery Regiment in the use of the MILAD inter-army anti-drone system, dedicated to right-of-way defense. Fixed and complex, it detects, identifies and jams threatening systems.
At Euronaval, MC2 technologies, a smaller business that specializes in micro and nanotechnologies, was also showing some of its counter-UAS systems, including the Nerod, a jammer gun designed to disrupt and neutralize communications between micro and/or mini—drones and their controllers.

French anti-drone specialist MC2 Technologies is now equipping the French Navy, which has just successfully employed its solutions in operations, Mer et Marine has learned. This is just a few weeks after MC2's systems were tested and found to be sufficiently effective for immediate deployment. This is yet another illustration of the Perseus approach, implemented by the French fleet to accelerate the integration of innovations, and thus keep pace with rapidly evolving threats.

Developed by MC2 Technologies, the NEROD RF is a portable jammer designed to disrupt the communication and navigation systems of drones. By emitting targeted radio frequency signals, it can effectively neutralize UAVs by forcing them to land or return to their point of origin. The NEROD RF is used by security forces to protect events and sensitive sites from drone intrusions.
The Euronaval exhibition was held from November 04 to 07, 2024 at the Parc des Expositions de Paris-nord Villepinte. This 29th edition of the Euronaval exhibition was held for the first time in Villepinte, after so many years on the Le Bourget site. The exhibition gained a cleaner, more modern space to showcase the very best in military naval engineering over 4 days. It also gained a more streamlined and attractive organization.
According to government spokesman Amadou Coulibaly, “Our armed forces, the second-largest military power in the ECOWAS zone behind Nigeria and the largest in the WAEMU, will reap the benefits of this growth to modernize their equipment. This is the case for our air defense and anti-aircraft systems. The Ivorian armed forces have already acquired the Nerod RF jammer gun, developed by a French manufacturer. Its multi-frequency action can neutralize one or more threatening drones.
In early 2024, Côte d'Ivoire [...] equipped itself [...] with a NEROD RF drone jammer gun, supplied by French company M2C Technologies [...]. These concrete measures underline the country's determination to commit itself more firmly to the fight against drones, a preferred airborne vector of armed terrorist groups (GAT). What have been the incubator's main successes to date? MC2 Technologies, a spin-off from the IEMN (Institut d'Electronique, de Microélectronique et de Nanotechnologie de Villeneuve d'Ascq), created in 2004 by a University research professor and one of his doctoral students. Le fond de capital-risque Andera et Bpifrance reprennent le contrôle de MC2 Technologies, une PME spécialisée dans les technologies hyperfréquences dédiées à la lutte antidrones et à la détection d'objets cachés. Objectif : ramener le contrôle de cette pépite en France.

A l’aube des JO 2024 Paris est face à la menace permanente d’attentat terroriste sur le sol français. Au même moment, la loi française de 2021 sur la sécurité globale met en avant une incohérence qui est en contradiction avec le niveau d’exigence sur la sécurité des individus.
