ERIS RX: High-tech at a low cost

ERIS RX is a detector based on COTS boards that enables the detection of signals between 50 MHz and 6 GHz. It monitors a wide range of low- and high-frequency signals—radio, GPS, Wi-Fi, 3G, 4G, and 5G—over a large area. As soon as electromagnetic activity is detected, it is analyzed using algorithms and transmitted over long distances across multiple frequency bands using radio modulation technologies that enable long-range, low-power communications. Consequently, an ERIS C2 is currently under development to enable the integration of data from multiple sensors and actuators.

The chameleon detector

ERIS RX adapts to the existing environment. It is designed to be placed in an area requiring surveillance. It can be attached to a variety of surfaces—such as tree trunks, posts, or masts—using strap-through fasteners, or mounted as a payload on a drone. Each module consists of a GPS module that allows each listening device to be located at all times, as well as an accelerometer that detects movement of the device and sends an alert to the control center. In the case of a low-bandwidth connection, only essential data will be transmitted; if a high-bandwidth connection such as USB, Bluetooth, or 4G is available, the full range of data can be transmitted.
